7TH GRADE ALL STAR GAME FULL OF TALENT
CLASS OF 2027 SHINES AT ALL STAR WEEKEND

WHITEHALL, OHIO- This year's 7th grade All-Star Game was loaded with future stars, but none shined more than 2026 6'3 Guard Deon Johnson (Columbus Sherwood) who amazed with his rare skillset for a kid his size. Johnson who can play all 5 positions on the floor showcased his handle and floor vision and ability to score on all levels efficiently which will make him a big-time guard at the High School level. Johnson led all scorers and was awarded unanimously the 2022 seventh grade Game MVP.

The one player that was most intriguing was 6'3 F/C Renaldo Perez (Licking Heights) who has a grown man's body and knows how to use it. Perez is still raw but has a tremendous upside, finishes strong in transition and has an amazing motor and most definitely will be a future star out in Pataskala.
Another player that stood out was Guard Kolton Peterson (Newark, Oh) who can flat out play, his ability to find his spots as well as break down the defense made him a hand full this weekend.
Chavis Wilson jr (Reynoldsburg) the shifty guard is a floor general who plays in your face defense and can get to the basket at will. Wilson and Mike Daniels jr (St Cecelia) both have amazing handles and tied for assist in this year's 7th grade game. Daniels has a smooth game that impressed OEP staff allowing things to come to him, controlling the tempo and knocking down the shot from the perimeter.
Another player that played well was Evan Murfield (New Albany) who showed a lot of game, scoring in transition, knocking down the three and playing great defense, Murfield has a great feel for the game and will be a big-time asset for New Albany in a few Years.
