COLUMBUS EAST 22
TOLEDO SCOTT 20
Columbus, Ohio - This past Saturday Columbus East 1-0 hosted visiting Toledo Scott at the legendary Harley Field in a rare noon kickoff due to the shortage of officials this season that has forced many games to be played on Thursday's and Saturdays.
Toledo Scott jumped out early in a closely fought contest, that was not decided until the remaining seconds when Senior Quarterback Wayne "Tre" Lindsey III dashed 60 yards to the house, lifting the Tigers to 2-0 for the first time in over 2 decades.
Senior SL/DB Julian Albano (@D1_Julian) who had several big defensive plays along with a 40 yd Touchdown pass reception from Lindsey in the 1st half was also big for the Tigers along with Super Sophomore receiver Taizaun Burns (@TaizaunBurns) who has 6 touchdowns on the season added a score also.
The Tigers will head to Centennial this week in hopes of keeping the winning ways going against Head Coach Mike Bell's former high school as well as his previous coaching stint prior to landing the Columbus East Job last season.
