SOUTHERN OHIO DUO THREAT QUARTERBACK HAS BIG PLAY ABILITIES
Cincinatti, Ohio Feb 20, 2024 - Coming off a stellar junior campaign Sonny Ward has turned alot of heads after helping lead Purcell Marion to 10-3 record this past season, which was one of its best seasons in recent history winning 2 playoff games before being knocked off by Valley View 22-31.
The 5-11 Quarterback who has been nicked named "Vanilla Vick" because of his speed, quickness and ability to take it to the house at any moment, which has brought many comparison's to former All-Pro QB Mike Vick.
Ward who passed for 2400 yds and rushed for over 400 yds in 2023 is one of the more intrigueing 2025 quarterback prospects, he has all the tools including a high football IQ, athleticism and toughness that makes for a very interesting prospect.
Ward has also been revered also as very gifted on the mound as well where he also serves as the pitcher for the Cavaliers baseball team where he batted 500 and had 12 stolen bases in 2023.
The two sport standout who could play either sport at the next level but has a tremendous up side on the gridiron although only 5"11, Sonny is a rare talent that not only can kill you with his legs but has one of the biggest arms in the State.
This year as a senior Sonny is exspected to have another big season leading the Cavalier offense where he will be expected to carry more of the load, and he seem's to be looking forward to the challenge.
Several Division II programs have shown interest in the athletic dou threat QB from the Cincinatti area, due to his canon of an arm and the 4.48 (40 time) he recently ran.
This spring Sonny plans to hit the camp circuit hard attending a few school camps and a few invite only events in hopes to getting more exposure and hopefully gaining more college interest before this season kicks off.
