Groveport Ohio - Tonight's non-league game which also was senior night for the Cruisers who hosted LCL Licking Heights jumped out with an early lead behind senior guard Duane Davis and senior Marlon Elliott Sr who both looked unstoppable early in the contest.
On a night that shots just weren't falling the Hornets showed a lot of grit and made plays collectively as a team and handled the Cruisers pressure defense pretty easy in the second half allowing the Hornets Dante Collier and Jayden Grifith to get going and knock down a few.
The hornets also got big plays tonight from Junior guards Kison Edmondson and Toure Young who both made plays down the stretch, Edmondson put the Hornets up 2 after knocking down a pair of one and one's with 1:44 to go.
Collier who is a big-time scorer struggled to find his rhythm but found other ways to get it done leading the Hornets with 15pts along with Yara Conde who had 14pts and continues to play big for Heights. Duane Davis and Kenyatta Whiteside led the way in scoring for the Cruisers who came up short in a hard-fought LCL-OCC matchup.
